It drives me crazy that they put protein powder in everything they make at most gym food/smoothie bars. You can always taste the powder no matter if it’s a shake or a muffin and powders are almost always high in calories, hidden sugars, and chemical fillers. Protein IS important after a workout, even for women (many think it’s just for bodybuilding, however, it’s essential for developing lean muscle as well), but there are so many better ways to get it. And I’m not talking about drinking egg whites… (ew)..
